Obituary for Joyce Ann Huffman Rickman
Joyce Ann Huffman Rickman, 83, wife of Jack E. Rickman, died Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at her home.
Born in Portsmouth, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Charles M. Huffman and the late Lillian Dresbach Huffman.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years; three children, Andrew Rickman (Yên) and Mary Lynn Merck both of Sumter, and Becky Mae Cannon (Randy) of Irmo; six grandchildren, Emily Merck, Jonathan Cannon, Madison Cannon, Trevor Merck, Peyton Cannon, and Ryan Rickman; and one great grandchild, Chandler Jackson Powell.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Orin Huffman, Milton Huffman, Reginald Huffman, Charles Huffman, and Clyde Huffman; and one sister, Miriam Huffman.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Chaplain Ed Cheek officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4124 Clemson Blvd., Suite L, Anderson, SC 29621, or Agape Hospice, 434 N Guignard Dr., Sumter, SC 29150.
Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
