Lidia Velasquez, 17, died Wednesday, January 31, 2018.

Born October 3, 2000, in Manning, she was a daughter of Angelina Velasquez. She was a member of New Start Community Church of the Nazarene. She was a member of the Junior Class at Sumter High School.

Survivors include her mother of Sumter and five brothers.

A graveside service will be held at 1 P.M. Sunday at New Start Community Church of the Nazarene cemetery with the Rev. Leonardo Cortez officiating.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
