Obituary for Violet A Cowan

Violet A. Cowan entered eternal rest, Sunday, December 31, 2017, at her home.

Violet was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador on August 22, 1930. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and being with her family. She retired from Korn Industries after 26 years of service.

Surviving are her two daughters, Debbie Rauch and Priscilla Haynes both of Sumter; her son, Virgil Bickley of Sumter; ten grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and her special companion, “Taco”.

In addition to her parents and siblings, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandi Trimnal; son-in-law, Charles Goff; grandson, Raymond Scott; and two granddaughters, Laney Bickley and Kristen Goff.

A memorial service will be held at 3 P.M. Wednesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Marvin Gobble officiating.

The family will receive friends at the home, 52 Lemmon St.
