Deborah A. Blackley, 52, died Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at her home.

Born January 20, 1965, in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Margaret Helfer Shaffner. Deb formerly worked as an insurance agent and as a teacher at both Pocalla Springs Elementary School and Thomas Sumter Academy. She was currently employed as a real estate agent with the Advantage Realty Group. She was a member of Alice Drive Baptist Church.

Survivors include two children, Brynn B. DuBose (Tyler) of Sumter and Cory J. Blackley of the home; her life companion, Daryle Skey of Sumter; step-father, Charles S. Shaffner of Sumter; and canine companion, Paisley.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jim Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tom DeVine, Lonnie Drusch, Ronnie Eldridge, Bertram Nkya, John Holladay, T.J. DeVine, Matt DeVine, and Dan Tindall.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. Friday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
