Condolence From: Billy Duggan
Condolence: Ole Woody. What a fine soul is he. I met Woody as a kid playing basket ball at the YMCA some 40 or so years ago. Come to find out he lived around the corner from me. He always looked out for me. He was a kind hearted man that truly cared about the young people of Sumter. He touched many young lives on those courts and fields in his days as a referee and umpire. One of them was mine. I will always remember him as a loving and caring man. Later on In our lives we became even closer as I grew up and started to work at Coca Cola and he was the Cookie Man. We sure had some good times on those routes trucks back in the day. I am truly saddened to hear about Ole Woody as I use to call him. May you rest in peace my friend. My thought and prayers are with all of the Woodward family. We were all blessed to have Ole Woody in our lives. God Bless.
