Obituary for Johnny Pate

Johnny Pate, 60, died Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at his home.

Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late John Wayborn Pate and the late Julia Hinson Pate. He was a caring man and he loved animals, especially his cat “Boogie”.

Survivors include two sisters, Brenda Mullins (William) of Pittsboro, NC, and Joan Lyons (Johnny) of Manning; two nephews; and one niece.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Sumter SPCA, 1140 S Guignard Dr., Sumter, SC 29150
