Obituary for Linda Hutson (Fields)


Linda Fields Hutson, beloved wife of Larry Gale Hutson, died Sunday, September 3, 2017, at Palmetto Health Tuomey.

Linda, born May 4, 1950 in Florence, courageously won her battle with multiple diabetic related health problems when her Lord and Savior called her home. She grew up in Lee County and was the daughter of the late Elijah McIver and the late Annie Rembert Fields.

She is survived by her husband; sons, Keith Edward Brown, Kevin Charles Kellenbenz, and William H. “Jabo” Smith; grandchildren, Madison Smith, Dakota Lynn Smith, and Jada Gale Smith of the home, and Blaze McKenzie Brown, Jesse James Brown, Angel GrayRain Brown, Kelsey Anne Kellenbenz, and Brittany Smith; sisters, Margaret Fields Rodgers of Sumter and Anne Fields Boykin (Harry) of Bishopville; a special niece, Melanie Turner (Dennis) of Sapphire, NC; and brother-in-law, Roger Hutson( Marianne) of Largo, Florida.

Linda was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Patricia Fields; brother-in-law, Calvin Rodgers; and mother-in-law, Clara Mae Hutson.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 12 Noon Thursday, September 7, 2017, in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Tommy McDonald officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. to 12 Noon Thursday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant Bible Church, PO Box, 519, Dalzell, SC 29040.
