Obituary for Velma Maudie Williamson (Estep)

Velma Maudie Estep Williamson, 87, widow of Dallas Williamson, died Sunday, July 23, 2017, at McElveen Manor.

Born June 24, 1930, in Elizabethton, TN, she was a daughter of the late Jack Estep and the late Doris Cable Sammons. She was retired from Big Star Foods and Munn Oil Company. She attended Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors three children, Randy Williamson (Mary), Barbara Williamson Harrell (Sammy), and Debra Sanders all of Sumter; grandchildren, Chad Williamson, Aaron Williamson, Joe “Bud” Moore, III, Lisa Ricci, Christopher Hall, Jason Hall, Patricia Evans, Brant Williamson, Brian Harrell, Ariel Harrell, Hunter Sanders, and Brittney Sanders; great-grandchildren, Jessica DuBose, Jamie Andrews, Autumn More, Cole Yomtob, Drake Donlon, Karley Hall, Sadie Marie Williamson, Lilly Grace Williamson, Annabell Williamson, Briane Dieleman, Dallas Williamson, Walker Knox Browder, Maci Williamson, CeCe Ricci, and Evelyn Ricci; a great-great-grandchild, Rowan Wade Dieleman; and three sisters, Sandy Estep Alexander, Sue Oliver, and Ann Carr.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Hall; and a brother, Bill Estep.

A funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Sammy Geddings officiating. Burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Randy Williamson, Joe Moore, III, Samuel Harrell, Brian Harrell, Danny Ricci, and James W. Andrews, III.

Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Hall and Hunter Sanders.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Tuesday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of her granddaughter, Patricia Evans, 6775 Panola Rd., Pinewood.
