Jim Wesley Nettles, 79, died Friday, July 07, 2017, at Palmetto Health Tuomey.

Born March 22, 1938, in Walterboro, he was a son of the late Henry Miles Nettles and the late Martha O’Quin Nettles.

Surviving are his wife, Agnes Coker Nettles; step-children, Steve Coker, JoAnne Brown, Linda Locklear, and Janet Barwick; and his beloved dog, Kandy.

Private graveside services will be held in the Sumter Cemetery at a later date.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
