Obituary for Frank H Wells
Frank H. Wells, 87, husband of Lu Pierce Wells, died Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at NHC Healthcare in Columbia.
Born January 14, 1930, in Wilcox, AZ, he was a son of the late Jessie Columbus Wells and the late Emma Gertrude Wells. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mr. Wells retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant after 30 years of service and was a Korean War veteran. He was also a building construction teacher at the Sumter Career Center.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years; two children, Frank H. Wells, Jr. of Fairbanks, Alaska and Terry Wells (Ronnie Brown) of Sumter; and two grandsons, Dakota “Kody” Brown of Myrtle Beach and Ernie Seruya of Sumter.
A graveside service will be held at 10 A.M. Monday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 P.M. Sunday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
