Obituary for Mildred Blanton Robinson (Redmon)

Mildred Blanton Robinson, 101, widow of the late Leon Howell Robinson and the late John Victor Blanton, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 17, 2017.

Born May 10, 1916, in Rhodhiss, NC, she was a daughter of the late James Ulrich Redmon and the late Cora Crawley Redmon. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was known for her love of art and enjoyed painting landscapes and old barns. She loved writing poetry and growing roses. Mildred was a member of the garden club in York, SC for many years.

She is survived by her daughters, Nancy B. Gardner (Paul) of Sumter and Diane B. Evans of Rock Hill; five grandchildren, Cindy G. James (William), Mark C. Gardner (Anne), Paula G. Ross (Henry), Terri K. Tores (Paul), and Kelly K. Tennyson (Don); eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday in the Rose Hill Cemetery in York, SC with the Rev. Dan Barber and the Rev. Charles Clanton officiating.
